50% Iberian Acorn-fed ham - Los Pedroches :
Produced directly in the Los Pedroches Valley by one of the world's best manufacturers of acorn-fed Iberian ham: Belloterra.
Belloterra's acorn-fed ham is made from a careful selection of the best hind legs of pigs fed on acorns during the Montanera period, while they graze freely in the Spanish pastureland.
It is produced from pigs of the 50% Iberian breed, using a totally traditional production process, cured very slowly in natural drying sheds. This gives it the extraordinary flavour and aroma characteristic of Los Pedroches acorn-fed ham, which in the case of Belloterra, is considered to be the best acorn-fed ham in Los Pedroches and one of the best acorn-fed hams in the world.
Six times as the best acorn-fed Iberian ham in the Los Pedroches Valley and five times in the Great Taste as the producer of one of the best acorn-fed hams in the world.
Produced in a traditional way and with a lot of patience, to reach the 48 months of curing that this acorn-fed ham needs (from 36 to 48 months of curing).
