This is a Pata Negra ham made from a selection of the best 100% Iberian breed pigs, fed exclusively on acorns during the last months of their lives, during the "montanera" season.
Internationally recognised as one of the best hams in the world, this pata negra ham has been awarded as one of the 50 best gourmet foods in the world. It comes from a limited production, carried out with great care by a small manufacturer in Guijuelo (Salamanca), where only one family and a few other employees work.
The secret of its high quality is to achieve such a long curing process that it can take up to 60 months.
