It is an acorn-fed iberian ham that is made with pieces from the best acorn-fed pigs in Extremadura, which is why its manufacturer has been recognized for the high quality of its products in the Great Taste Awards or has won the prize for the best acorn-fed Iberian ham in Monesterio (Extremadura) on two occasions.

It is an iberian ham made from 50% iberian breed pigs, which are reared in freedom grazing in the Spanish pastureland, where they feed mainly on acorns and other natural products found in the countryside, such as tubers and grasses.

The acorn-fed iberian ham that makes Sierra de Monesterio, is elaborated the same way that their ancestors did, in an artisan way, from there the high quality of the final product. To do this, the ham is salted and then cured in a natural drying room, where a master ham maker will ensure the best possible conditions for drying and curing the ham and finally it will be transferred to a cellar, where it will acquire its aroma and exquisite taste

The process of elaboration of the acorn-fed iberian ham Sierra de Monesterio, requires a minimum of 3 years, thus submitting each piece to a slow elaboration process, which results in an extraordinary flavor and quality.

Muchas gracias por todo iberspain. Es difícil encontrar gente tan profesional como vosotros, que os habeis preocupado hasta de hablar con el restaurante para que todo saliera bien. Sois fantásticos. La boda fue un éxito, pero el jamón ni os cuento. Hemos pedido unos sobres loncheados para probarlo, ya que la idea es comprar un jamón entero para una boda y nos los han servido sin problema. El jamón estaba buenísimo. De los mejores que he probado.
